Secretary Jen is in and the Church office is open from 7-3 Wednesday through Friday. Pastor John's scheduled day off is Friday, and Danny is off on Mondays. Mornings are the best time to find the staff at church, while afternoons are reserved for visiting or off campus meetings. We are always available for pastoral care. Please feel free to drop by or better yet call to make sure we are available. We'd love to see you!

Pastor John — Senior Pastor
Pastor John Albertson comes from Minnesota where he was born and raised. He received his undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and his Masters of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He is married and has one son. He served parishes in Western North Dakota prior to coming to Faith. He has served Faith Lutheran Church since 1998.
Jen Heinsius — Secretary
Jen Heinsius joined Faith Lutheran as the Church Secretary in October 2006. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois and moved to Iowa in 1995. Jen enjoys her position at Faith for the variety of work, the ability to help others and the fantastic people of the church. She is married to her husband, Russell and they live on a small hobby farm in Olin, Iowa and have 3 grown sons Nate & Nick Roemer and Josh Heinsius. She is a member and serves on her church council at St. John Lutheran in Olin. Her favorite pastimes are reading, football, going to concerts and cooking & baking.
Danny Stone — Director of Youth & Family Ministries
Danny Stone was born in northern California and grew up in National Parks across the nation. He served at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp in Upper Michigan while studying at Northern Michigan University. After graduation, Danny taught English at Marquette Sr. High and began serving as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries for Messiah Lutheran. Danny was a member of the Kellogg Youth Development Seminar team, Fortune Lake Board, Episcopal Camp Board, Synod Youth Ministry Team, YARP Team, Campus Ministry house manager . . .
After 16 years at Messiah and 30 years in "da Yoopee," Danny and family moved to Cedar Rapids/Marion to serve at Faith in 2011. His daughter, Isabella, grew up at Faith and is now working on her pre-veterinary medicine classes at Kirkwood Community College. She works at the Iowa Humane Alliance and plans to transfer to Iowa State.
Danny is active with Synod adventures, chairs the SEIowa Synod Candidacy Committee and just finished two terms on the EWALU Board of Directors.
Staff Openings — Choir Director
The Faith Lutheran Choir is a group of committed singers who like to sing and gain spiritual nourishment through music as well as share their musical gifts through their participation in worship services. The choir director will guide this group of musicians to enhance the musical experience of worship at Faith Lutheran Church.
